  1. A good novel rarely ends with the words “and they lived happily ever after”.
  2. Good novels have a tendency to focus on serious problems.
  3. Maybe the protagonist have had a miserable and lonely childhood.
  4. Maybe she has been badly brought up by a miserable and drunken mother, who had enough stress with her own problems.
  5. Maybe the protagonist dies unexpectedly just before the last page of the book.
  6. In any case good novels often end tragically.
  7. We need a new kind of good novels, which are about important problems in our lives, but where the protagonists learn to do well in an independent and mature manner.
  8. Then we get motivated to read enormously long novels.

Øvelse 7

A really handsome guy

She definitely thought that she had seen him before. His eyes were green and the beautifully formed nose gave him an unusual profile. His hair was smartly cut and his clothes unusually fitting.

So she took a quick decision: she asked him openly, if he wanted to marry her, and when he, in astonishment, said “Wha!”, she repeated her proposal plainly and boldly.

Totally overwhelmed by her initiative he didn’t know what to say, so he kissed her passionately, and they lived happily ever after.
